Weekend with Small Group

A few weekends ago Jonathan and the girls went with our small group to a lake in Tennessee. They had a wonderful time playing. I had to work so I stayed behind, which was much harder than I expected. Jonathan said they had a wonderful time playing in the water, on the jetski, the boat, and just hanging out together. We feel really blessed to have such a close group of amazing friends to "grow up" with as parents. I learned a lot from my quite house that weekend - I do not like it. As soon as Jonathan left with the girls on Friday I was homesick from my family. I shed many tears that weekend just missing them. I realized that I do not need weekends away from my girls, maybe just a date night here and there. I realized that I do not like the quite and missed my girl's constant chatter. It made me appreciate more the things that I sometimes complain about. I was glad they had such a great time, but was ready to see them Sunday night.
