Fun at Nana's

This past weekend Jonathan took the girls to Nana's while I worked. They had a wonderful time. They went to the zoo and to play golf. Uncle Cameron was there also which delighted Payton. She has quite the thing for her Uncle Cameron. Payton told me that Nana fixed all her favorite things, and said "I love her". Claire had a great time too and probably was excited to see Abby (Nana's dog) since she looks outside and calls for her all the time at home. Thank you for having them Nana.

Payton would like to introduce Thing 3

In honor of Dr. Seuss week being last week here is Jonathan’s attempt to update you on our family as Dr. Seuss might have. Enjoy!

It came upon one winter night
The word of the news
Thing 1 was snoozing while covered up
With her bobbi was Thing 2

Thing 1, she is a clever Thing
Always looking for a game
She runs and jumps from place to place
And can almost write her name

She loves her "friends and family"
She prays for them each night
Before her head is pillow bound
You hear "Don't let the Bed Bugs Bite"

She is a sweet, little Thing
Keeping everyone on their toes
She acts just like her mommy did
and does it all by her self as she grows
("let me show you")

Thing 2, she is just as sweet
Though in her different way
She gazes out the window
To watch "Dadie" play

Animals and babies
Are her friends indeed
Of course that's when mommy’s not holding her
Or Thing 1 hanging on her sleeve
(or neck)

Laid-back and silent you might think
With that you would be a little mistaken
She will let you know what she is thinking
Sometime with just her head shakin.

She will pull you by your finger
And lead you through the house
But when its time to rest her head
It is bottle... bobbi... lights out

Both Thing 1 and Thing 2
Bring laughter, smiles and fun
It is amazing how much we love them
But wait, I am not done

Back to that winter night
As Thing 1 and Thing 2 caught Z after Z
Those still awake were blessed to learn

Our newest bundle of joy - Samantha Eley Honeycutt

We got the privelage of welcoming Miss Samantha into our home today while her mommy went back to work. We will be watching her a few days a week and enjoying having a new little one around our house again. She is an angel and absolutely adorable too. We had a great first day and I think she was well entertained by Payton and Claire. This should be good practice for the girls for when we have number three sometime. I am sure that many of you will get the privelage of meeting her soon. She is a delight.

SNOW!!!

This morning we woke up to rain and heard the rumors of snow. Jonathan and I both laughed at the idea of snow because it felt too warm. Well, we were wrong. Jonathan called me up from the basement around 11:00 because it had started snowing just a little bit. I surely thought it would only snow for just a little while, but four hours later and it is still coming down. SNOW! The girls watched out the window for a long time, we read stories about the snow and winter, and then got dressed and went outside to play. Payton wanted to make snowballs and Claire just wanted to eat the snow. Daddy and Patyon made snow angles, but Claire wanted nothing to do with lying down in the wet snow. Both girls liked being outside for about 15 minutes and then were ready to come inside for hot chocolate, they are my kind of girls. We plan on playing again later after naps, probably for another 15 minutes. It sure is beautiful and such a treat for us in Georgia.

Nana's Bowling Party

We got to celebrate Nana's birthay with her all week long. On Saturday night we went bowling and to dinner. Payton enjoyed bowling, but we accumulated a number of balls in the gutter. She did help me get a strike once. It was a fun night for everyone. Happy Birthday Nana!!!
