Claire Ryan Gadd

Well, Claire is here! She was actually born three weeks ago on July 28th. She weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20.5 inches long. She is sleeping great and rarely cries. She must know that she has a busy sister that we have to chase around. We have adapted well to being a family of four. Payton loves her "baby" and has yet to have any jealousy issues. She likes to run by while playing and give her kisses, or shake her hand and say "How do you do." It makes us laugh. So far life is pretty much the same as it was before Claire arrived, but we know that will soon change when Claire decides to start staying awake more.

First Time

Well, I have decided to set up a blog for our family since it will be growing here soon. This way you can look to see what we have been up to on your own. We have been very busy lately with Payton. I have been trying to do everything fun with her that might be put on hold when Claire arrives. We have been to Stone Mountain several times, the pool, the lake, the aquarium, ImagineIt Children's Museum, the park, had lots of play dates and spending most nights playing outside till dark. She is not going to know what to do when we actually stay home for a day. Claire will be here in a couple of days. We are patiently waiting knowing she will be here soon enough, and enjoying time with Payton. She has seemed to really grow up this last month. Everyday it seems she learns something new. She loves to sing and make up songs with family and friends' names. She talks constantly, has started feeding herself with a spoon, and counts to three. Baby Einstein videos are her favorite, and we have noticed she has started to use her imagination more now. Jonathan and I are looking forward to having a little baby around again and seeing how Payton responds to her sister. It should be fun!
