Beach 2009

In June we went to the beach for the annual Lord family vacation. It was the best trip yet. The kids played so well together and entertained one another! We actually got a chance to sit back a little this year and relax as we watched the kids play. We got to spend time with our cousins who live there and play with their precious kids. It was fun to hit all the favorite seafood restaurants and ice cream shops and spend time on the beach. Our family are a bunch of beach bums and even all the kids this year enjoyed the beach and ocean. Even Claire wanted "more" after being drenched by a big sneaky wave while I was holding her one day. Payton preferred to stay in her own imaginary world most the time if she was not playing with her cousins. She would zone out into another world by herself, and occasionally allow daddy to play Ariel and Prince Eric with her. Ariel and Prince Eric got married several times that week, she is still obsessed with weddings and getting married. Claire and Charlotte are great buddies and were caught on several occasions going through coolers seeing what cokes had not been finished. They were quite and sneaky little friends, but kept one another entertained at dinner. One night the big kids went hunting for crabs on the beach, which was a big highlight for Payton and she even caught her very own crab. It was a very fun and fast week.
