Holiday Activities

A few traditions for us as a family is to make a gingerbread house together, eat snacks and watch a Christmas movie. This is always one of my favorite nights of the season. I love having a creative husband who really gets into decorating the gingerbread house. I prefer to make the snacks and serve everyone.
Then we had Daddy's birthday and the preschool Christmas performances. Claire would hardly look up and never sang a word. She kept her face hidden by her hands and took her time coming down the aisle. We loved it because it was 100% her. Payton on the other hand sang every work with enthusiasm and smiled ear to ear, which is 100% her. I love how they are different. Afterwards I asked Claire if she had a good time and she said "Yes!"
Claire loves her preschool class and teachers, and I love her teachers too. Both of the girls had their parties on the same day and time. We were blessed that their classrooms are next door to one another so I could bop in and out of each of their parties. They had a wonderful time and got a lot of goodies.
Before Christmas break we got to celebrate Payton's birthday with her friends from school. It was great to watch her interact with her little friends. They were silly and sweet and it was one of the most entertaining lunches I have had in awhile.
