Halloween is a fun time for us and the week is always busy. It started off on Wednesday with family pumpkin carving party with Kiki and Matt. We grilled out hot dogs, carved pumpkins, ate lots of treats, and watched Spookley the Square Pumpkin. On Thursday the girls had their Trick or Treating and parties at school. It was fun to watch them interact with their classmates. Thursday night we celebrated Steph's birthday with the family. Friday we went to IHOP in our pajamas for Halloween pancakes with our friends, the Goforths came to play, and we went to Dylan and Cameron's Halloween party. Saturday Jonathan and the kids went to Lynlee's 1st birthday party, which they said was "So FUN." Then Saturday night Jonathan took the kids to a fall festival at my sister's church where they played games and got loaded with candy. Sunday night was the big Halloween party. Aunt Stephie threw a great party. She had crafts, games, yummy spooky food, treat bags for the kids, and lots of decorations. All of the kids had a great time Trick or Treating. I have not walked the neighborhood the last few years with the kids for various reasons. The last time I went with them we led them up the driveways to the doors. This year Payton was off on a mission with one thing in mind - a candy hunt. I thought most of the pictures I would get of her would be a blur of a white bunny dashing up the next driveway. She loved it! Claire took her time and let mommy walk with her. She perferred Ernie aka Uncle Stanley to walk with her, but settled for me when he had to leave. I did get to carry Harrison a good bit though until he got too heavy, then Daddy took over monkey duty.
Payton wanted to be a bunny. She loved her costume and wore it around all week. She told me several times that it was very comfy and thanked me for making it.
Claire wanted to be a pumpkin. It fit her personality perfectly, and made me smile everytime I looked at her. She was too cute with the silly little hat on. She was very particular about her pumpkin costume. She did not want anything fancy, girly, creative, or with pants. She wanted to look like a real "punkin." Love her!
Harrison's sisters decided he would be a sock monkey like his Bosco. He was pretty sweet and comfy too.
