Jonathan and I found out today that we are having a baby BOY! We are so excited! We are going to have a son. I get a mommy's boy. Oh, we are more than excited and cannot wait to experience life with a little buddy around here. His name will be James Harrison Gadd, which is my Pawpaw's name. We will call him Harrison. He will be the tenth Harrison on my dad's side of the family. Pawpaw said that every generation, skipping mine because Mom and Dad did not have a boy, named a son Harrison. My grandfather's name is James Harrison and my dad's name is Anthony Harrison. So we feel fortunate to name him after Pawpaw. Jonathan and I feel so blessed to know that we are going to have both girls and now a boy. I cannot stop smiling and thinking of all the new things we will get to do, a new nursery, new clothes, new bibs and blankets, new diaper bag, new toys and so much more. We get to teach and train a little boy. I cannot think of a better daddy to teach his son how to be a man. A little man with a lot of adventure, kindness, patience, gentleness, integrity, and a big love for God just like his daddy. I hope he has the same sweet heart that his daddy has. Oh, this has been such a great day.
We took Payton with us this morning for the ultrasound. It was fun to watch her reaction. At one point he stretched out his hand and she jumped out of Jonathan's lap and ran jumping towards the screen. She said "I will hold you. He is waving at me!" It is fun having her understand this time. She is excited about her baby brother and has been telling all of her friends. Claire stayed at home with Nana and Jonathan's great aunt Mimi. She is still clueless that we are having another baby. It was fun to share the news with Nana, Mimi, and Kiki when we got home. We went shopping tonight for boy clothes with my mom. It was hard for me to picture myself buying boy stuff. I still headed straight for all the bright pink and purples. Jonathan has reassured me that he will take care of buying all the clothes for Harrison, if our bank account will allow. It is fun to watch his excitement.
