Mother's day weekend Stan and Joy got married. They had asked Payton to be their flower girl and she was thrilled. She has been practicing "wedding" for a year now with Mimi. I think she felt very special in her wedding dress and getting to be apart of all the wedding festivities. Joy made her feel very special. I was a bit nervous about how she would do during the ceremony. We all know that Payton can have a mind of her own, but she impressed me and did very well. She walked down the isle grinning ear to ear and making sure to take her time to smile at all the admirers. When Joy started down the isle her face was in awe as she stood and watched the princess. During the ceremony she did very good, but held true to her little personality. She posed for those watching her and the photographer quite a bit. As she exited the church after Stan and Joy were announced husband and wife I breathed a giant sigh of relief and was so proud of my little flower girl. She is going to be in Brittany and Adam's (my cousin) wedding this coming weekend. Needless to say she is thrilled and I am not quite so nervous this time. She definitely has wedding fever. She plays wedding, now has wedding Barbie and Ken, sings wedding songs, her princess dresses have turned into wedding dresses, and all her baby dolls and Jonathan and I participate in many weddings throughout the day. It has been fun to talk to her about what a wedding means and hear her say "Someday I will marry my Prince Charming." That is what daddy and I are praying for.
