Easter was wonderful! We go to night church so the morning was very relaxing. The girls watched a movie, Kiki and Matt came over for breakfast with a basket full of goodies, we dyed eggs, had an egg hunt, egg toss, and played some games. It was great. Then we headed over to Nani and Pawpaw Jimmy's for more Easter tradition. It was a great day.
Payton was getting ready that morning before we headed downstairs and she said
"Mommy the Easter bunny is different than Santa."
me "What do you mean honey?"
Payton "Well, Santa brings us gifts if we are good, but the Easter bunny brings us gifts even if we are not."
me "Oh really why?"
Payton "because Easter is really about Jesus dying on the cross and taking away our sins so the Easter bunny brings us gifts even if we have sinned"
So in the mix of Payton joining the Easter bunny and Jesus' sacrifice together we had a good talk about how thankful we are that Jesus did take away our sins. It was a great day to celebrate Him!
