Harrison

Harrison will be five months old tomorrow. This little man has stolen my heart and turned it into mush. All that I used to get done during naps times just seem to wait because I like to make sure he is awake during the girl's naps so that we can play. Mr. Harrison does not do a whole lot of playing yet. He is such a cuddle bug that he is content just sitting in our arms. He has just mastered head control and tummy time, but I do not foresee rolling over anytime soon. He is just content lying on his back looking around. He is pretty quite too, but what can you expect with two busy sisters. He coos on occasion and has a sweet soft smile. Maybe he would coo more if I could keep my kisses off of him. Oh, he melts me. He will hold toys in his hands, but is just fine with you holding the toy and him grinning at it. So as you can probably gather he is pretty laid back for now. The girls adore him and dote on him quite a bit. Payton loves to hold and feed him his bottles. They call him bud bud, which I think is a nickname that has stuck. We find ourselves saying it too. When I say something about my sweet boy Claire reminds me that he is every body's bud bud. Yes, he is a little gift to us all. I find myself savoring every moment and not rushing him through any milestone because I know they will all come too fast. I find that I love the infant stage. It feels so good to have someone to cuddle with during those few quite moments in the day, to be able to meet all his needs by just holding him, to not have to worry about discipline yet, to win his smile and coo, and to just be with him without any expectation. We think he resembles Payton mostly, but a little of Claire too. At different times I see each of them in him. This is fun because I get glimpses of them as babies and it brings back many memories. We are enjoying everyday with our bud bud.
