Christmas Fun

This Christmas season was full of wonder. We made the most of everyday. Rolly Polly Ravioli the elf came back to visit this year and brought many surprises with him. We were very busy with many Christmas play dates and parties, going to Bethlehem to see Jesus and the North Pole to see Santa, Charlotte's 3rd birthday, Daddy's 31st birthday, Papa came to visit, their preschool performance and parties, yearly drive in our pjs to see Christmas lights, Stone Mountain with Kiki and Nana, taking the girls shopping for their family, children's Christmas Eve service, making cookies, reading our Advent book and waiting for Santa. It is a magical time of year. The girls were very excited about Jesus' birthday and were often singing him Happy Birthday throughout this month. On Christmas day I was walking with Payton as she rode her new bike down the street. I asked her "Is this the best gift you have ever been given?" and she said "NO, Jesus is the best gift I have ever gotten." Well, I could not argue with that. Throughout Christmas and her birthday she told me several times "I do like my gifts, but Jesus is the best gift." I am glad during this busy season that she did not forget what it was really about, even when at times I felt like I did a poor job focusing on the true meaning of Christmas for my girls.
