Memorial Day Fun

This past weekend we went to Lake Lanier with my family. It was a wonderful weekend in spite of the weather. The cousins played great together and had fun being outside looking for bunnies, playing ball, playing in the rocks, golf cart rides, hide-n-seek, and a trip to the playground. On Sunday we drove into Cleveland to Baby Land General otherwise known as the birthplace of Cabbage Patch Kids. It was fun to watch the girls enjoy the babies just like I remember doing at their age. Claire was in heaven. She is our baby doll lover. She ran from one to the other grinning ear to ear and squealing "Baby!" At the end Mimi and Pawpaw let each of the girls adopt their own doll. The cousins had fun playing with them the rest of the weekend. We came home with Becky and Hannah. On Monday we were lucky enough to get a few hours a sunshine and even a quick dip in the lake for those brave souls not afraid of icy waters. It was nice to get a quick taste of summer. Above all that we did the best part of the weekend was just being together as a family. It was wonderful!
